Kohle McCulloch of Evergreen Golf Course is headed to The Humber Cup!
Kohle McCulloch along with multiple junior member of Evergreen Golf Course have taken part of the St. Lawrence Jr. Golf Tour over the summer. Although they all had a great year of competition, Kohle has had an exceptional year and has won the right to be on the St. Lawrence Jr. Golf Tour Provincial Team. The Humber Cup Tournament is being played at the Beechwood Golf Club in Niagara Falls. The ournament is a 2 day event on August 31st, and Sept 1st. There are approx. 10 junior tours in the Province, the St. Lawrence Junior Golf Tour being one of those tours. Each Tour declares the 10 players around id-August who will be representing them at the Provincials, and each Tour sends 2 players representing each of our Divisions. Girls (U19), Peewee Boys (U13), Bantam Boys (U15), Juveniles (U17) and Junior Boys (U19).The St. Lawrence Jr. Golf Tour has 10 events and each player in each Division is awarded merit pointsbased on their finish in each event. They award 1200 merit points for each Division for each event whichrange from 200 merit points for the winner down to 5 merit points awarded to the player placing 15th. The merit points are accumulated and the 2 top merit point leaders at the end of the season are selected for our Provincial Team. Kohle who played in the Bantam division had an outstanding year on the tour attending 9 of the 10 events finishing first overall in points with 1295 points. He was 220 points ahead of the second place finisher in the tour and has certainly represented Evergreen Golf Course very well.
